InFuse will produce a new way to view, download and communicate census data based on the data feed approach developed in the CAIRD project.
CAIRD - Census Aggregate Information Resource Demonstator
CAIRD is a project to explore the feasibility and potential of exploiting metadata to make aggregate outputs from UK censuses more understandable, explorable, accessible, and therefore more usable to the academic and wider community.
DIaD - Data Integration and Dissemination
DIaD is an investigation into the potential of using international open standards based techniques to perform data linkage between census datasets. UKBORDERS at EDINA is the project lead.
OGC GeoLinking Interoperability Experiment
A project run in conjunction with EDINA, the MoSeS NCeSS node at the University of Leeds, the National e-Science Centre and the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) looking to confirm that OGC specifications completely support the ability to link attribute data to its geospatially representations when stored at separate locations on the Internet.
Using the GMapCreator software designed by the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis at UCL we are looking at creating quick visualisations of census data and making it easier for our users to do the same.
